Introduction

LiberOne is an easy to use, flexible and powerfull application oriented to the management and maintenance of a home library.

Management, because with LiberOne you can realize an individual pursuit for each book (volume to volume, title to title), options of advanced search, lists by printer, etc.

Maintenance, because with LiberOne you can at any moment know the books that you have, how many you have, where are them, etc. Can list books of a certain subject, of a certain collection, classification, group, author or editorial.

LiberOne is organized in 8 main surroundings, to facilitate the control and the management of the library. Something as well as “to contemplate books from several points of view”. These 8 surroundings are:

LiberOne works on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. It has not been tested on other versions of Windows, but do not exist reasons to suppose that it does not work.

Books

In the surroundings books the user visualize books (volumes and titles) and the data associated to each one of them. Also the operations are made that are to them own. Some of the features are:

Advanced search
LiberOne allows to search books with eight different criteria: Search by word/s. Date. Price. Qualification. Author and/or Editorial. Subject, collection, and/or classification. Origin. Year of edition. Also it is possible to print the results.

Last contact
Allows to know the last action that has become on a volume/title. Also it allows to know the different previous data after one or several modifications.

See paragraphs
This tool allows to have organized portions of text that are to you interesting from any title.

Pursuit
From this window a pursuit of the volume/title is made. This pursuit provides a greater control on books and the own library.

Library

Here is managed some of characteristics, that is to say, data that as a whole form a global concept envelope which our library IS.

Library Data
Economy: Value and porcentages of the library based on the price of books.
Control of origins: The bookstore where the book was bought (or any other origin).
Locations: The place where the book is.
Rating: Shows the totals of the ratings the user has granted to books according to its criterion. There are eight ratings: masterpiece, excellent, good, interesting, regular, mediocre, bad and indifferent.

Global data
Total amounts and porcentages of all the surroundings visualized in detail.

Control of languages
Detailed global data and porcentages of the present languages in LiberOne. Control and maintenance of languages.

Control of countries
Detailed global data and porcentages of the present countries in LiberOne. Control and maintenance of countries. (It only affects to authors and publishing houses).

Surroundings:

Subjects, Collections, Classifications, Groups, Authors and Publishing houses

All the surroundings include two listings, one (left) with the names (name of the subject, author, etc.) and the other (right) with books pertaining to the surroundings in which it has been placed then. When the user moves by the listing of the names (subject, author, etc.), in the listing of the right they appear his associate books.

All the processes of all the surroundings have context sensitive helps. All the possible doubts will clarify to you that the help can appear just by click of mouse.

Features of the different surroundings:

Add, modify or delete any subject, collection, author....
Search by name or Advance search (using multiple criteria).
Last contact. It allows to know the last action that has become on a subject, collection, etc. Also allows to know the different previous data after one or several modifications.
Create, edit or delete notes on any subject, colection...
Print any listing of subjects, collections, etc...

Other typical

Advanced search in all the surroundings, with option to see the details of the search: number of found elements, percentage, excluded…
Independent anthology treatment (Volumes that contains several works of the same author).
Listing by printer of all the resulting elements of a search, advanced or selective (read, not read books, with notes, etc).
Print the data of a single element (book, subject, author, etc).
Displacement of a book between surroundings (at the moment to visualize in the different surroundings the book selected without needing looking for it).
Last contact of an element, after a change or modification knows its previous state.
Pursuit of a book: if it has been read, the date of reading, its qualification, annotations, which allows to see very concrete book sets.

Book support until with 15 authors, managing each of these authors of independent way in the surroundings authors.
Management and maintenance of paragraphs (portions of text), which normally emphasizes books. (See info, about paragraphs, in the ToolBar).
Management and maintenance of the bibliography of the authors, independently who those books are or not in the library.
Data meticulously detailed of all the surroundings, with percentage and comparative.
Protection against errors of the user: repeated elements, in target, erroneous dates (future), are avoided. Reason why the consistency of the data is guaranteed.
24 different appearances, to satisfy all the pleasures.
